AHI Foundation Study Abroad Student’s Experience Recounted in University’s Publication

WASHINGTON, DC — Constance V. Baroudos, a graduate student from California State University, Fullerton, who participated on the 2011 American Hellenic Institute Foundation (AHIF) Foreign Policy Program, had her experience recounted in the university’s online publication, Inside CSUF. In addition, she interned for AHI during this summer.

“Peering through the barbed wire barrier, Constance V. Baroudos broke down,” the article titled “Peering Through Barbed Wire” begins.

“We are pleased that Constance was able to share her moving experience with her professors, peers, and friends at Fullerton,” said AHI President Nick Larigakis. “We thank Inside CSUF for publishing her account. We look forward to providing many more students like Constance with the opportunity to experience the same emotions and to learn more about the history and politics of the eastern Mediterranean region.”

According to the article, Baroudos said the experience, “was one of those things that you can hear or read about, but must see with your own eyes to truly understand.”
