The Pan-Macedonian Association in cooperation with AHI Host Conference on “A Search for a Roadmap to Peace in the Balkans”WASHINGTON, DC—On June 27, 2007 the Pan-Macedonian Association, Inc. in cooperation with the American Hellenic Institute hosted a conference on “A Search for a Roadmap to Peace in the Balkans” at the Capital Hilton Hotel. The conference included two panels, one morning session on the historical perspective and one afternoon session on the geopolitical perspective. The morning session panel was moderated by Dr. Potitsa Grigorakou, Athens, Greece. The panel included Professor Pierre Lerich, Centre d’Archeologie pour l’Orient, Paris, France. A speech was also read for Dr. Osmund Bopearachhci, Centre d’Archeologie, E.N.S., Paris, France who could not attend. The afternoon session panel was moderated by Gene Rossides, President, American Hellenic Institute. The panel included Ted Galen Carpenter, Vice President for Defense and Foreign Policy Studies, CATO Institute, Washington, DC, Gregory R. Copley, President, International Strategic Studies Association, Alexandria, Virginia and Dr. George Papavizas, writer, Beltsville, MD.
