AHI Noon Forum In Commemoration of the 1955 Pogrom Against the Greeks of Istanbul

WASHINGTON, DC—On September 7, 2006, AHI hosted a Noon Forum at the Hellenic House in commemoration of the 1955 pogrom against the Greeks of Istanbul. The speaker was Dr. Van Coufoudakis, Rector, Intercollege in Nicosia, Cyprus. The topic of the presentation was “The Forgotten Pogrom of 1955 and Turkey’s Systematic Extermination of its Greek Ethnic Minority.” The text of his remarks and a photograph are attached.
