Greek NATO Delegation Visits AHI Hellenic House HeadquartersWashington, DC—On February 13, 2006, a Greek NATO delegation led by Ambassador Panayotis Zografos, Director D2 NATO-WEU Department, Greek Ministry for Foreign Affairs visited the American Hellenic Institute’s headquarters, the Hellenic House, while in Washington, DC. The delegation was here on a visit to meet with their counterparts in the U.S. military establishment. The delegation members included: Commodore Ioannis Alvertos, Captain Athanasios Palaskas, Lt. Col. Alkiviadis Stefanis and Dr. Andreas Kintis. While at Hellenic House, the delegation met with a few members of the AHI leadership, including, AHI Advisory Committee Member Kostas Alexakis, Legal Counsel Nick Karambelas, Executive Director Nick Larigakis and the AHI staff. The one-hour discussion centered on items of mutual interest regarding U.S.-Greece relations. These included Cyprus, FYROM, the Aegean Sea boundary, Souda Bay and the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR). Attached please find a photograph from this event.
